Premises: This Active Lesson Plan assumes: a 100-minute class duration, prior student study both with the Book and the beginning of Project development, and that only one activity (among the three suggested) will be chosen to be carried out during the class, as each activity is designed to take up a large part of the available time.

Objective

This stage aims to build a solid foundation of knowledge that enables students to identify, differentiate, and describe plants based on their structure and classification. By achieving these objectives, students will be able to apply this understanding in practical scenarios, enhancing their comprehension of ecosystems, biotechnology, and agriculture, among other fields.

1. Understand the definition and differences between plants and vegetables, focusing on unique characteristics that set them apart from other biological classifications.

2. Identify and describe the basic structure of plants, covering their main parts and their respective functions.

3. Explore the major subgroups of the Plant Kingdom, emphasizing their distinctive traits and adaptations to the environment.
