Project Objective

Project Description
Students, divided into groups of 3 to 5, will create a weekly calendar of the activities they perform at school and at home, using time intervals. They will record the time spent on each activity and calculate the total time spent each day. Then, they will analyze the collected data and discuss ways to better manage time.
Necessary Materials
- Large sheets of paper or cardboards
- Ruler
- Pencils and erasers
- Colorful markers
- Clock or cell phone to measure time (under adult supervision)
Step by Step

Group Formation and Planning: Divide the class into groups of 3 to 5 students and explain the project's objective. Each group should discuss and plan the activities they will carry out during the week at school and at home.

Creating the Calendar: Using the large sheets of paper or cardboards, each group should create a weekly calendar, with the days of the week (from Monday to Sunday) and the hours of the day (from 6 am to 8 pm).

Recording Activities: Each group should record on the calendar the activities they perform each day and each hour. For example, at school: math class, recess, Portuguese class, lunch, science class, etc. At home: dinner, bath, bedtime, etc.

Time Measurement: During the week, students should measure the time spent on each activity using the clock or cell phone (under adult supervision). They should write down the time spent for each activity on the calendar.

Calculating Total Time: At the end of each day, students should add up the time spent on all activities and write down the total time spent that day.

Data Analysis: At the end of the week, each group should analyze the collected data. They should discuss and answer questions such as: Which activities take more time? Which activities take less time? How can we use time more efficiently?
