Activity Title: "Creation of Digital and Interactive Art"

Project Objective

Develop an understanding of the intersection between art and technology, using digital tools to create original works of art.

Project Description

In this project, students will work in groups to create a digital and interactive work of art. First, they will create a digital art using a drawing program on a tablet or computer. Then, they will turn this art into an interactive work using a free online tool called Scratch.

Required Materials

• Computer or Tablet with Internet access
• Digital Drawing Program (can be a free one like Paint 3D, Krita, or Procreate for tablets)
• Free account on the Scratch platform (https://scratch.mit.edu/)

Step-by-Step for Activity Execution

1. Group Formation: Divide the class into groups of 3 to 5 students. Each group should have at least one tablet or computer available for the activity.

2. Digital Art Study: Explore with the students some digital art pieces. Discuss how artists used technology to create these images.

3. Creation of Digital Art: Each group will create a digital art piece using the drawing program. The creation can be done freely, but it must contain at least three different elements (people, animals, objects, scenarios, etc.).

4. Introduction to Scratch: Show students how to use the Scratch platform, exploring its main functions and how it can be used to create interactive art pieces.

5. Transforming Digital Art into Interactive Art: Using the Scratch platform, groups must transform their digital art into an interactive piece. They can allow parts of the image to move, change color, produce sounds, etc., when the user interacts with them (clicking, hovering, etc.).

6. Project Presentation: Each group must present their interactive art piece to the class, explaining the idea behind its creation and demonstrating the possible interactions. It is important that all members participate in the presentation.
