Contextualization
Theoretical Introduction
The project to be carried out approaches the use of the verbs 'ser', 'estar' and 'tener' in the Spanish language, which are essential for constructing sentences and expressing ideas. In the Spanish language, the verbs ser and estar, both translate as "to be" or "to be" in English, but they are used in different contexts. 'Ser' is used to indicate origin, material, professions, dates, times and events, for example. On the other hand, 'estar' denotes location, physical and emotional states and temporary changes. 'Tener', which means "to have," is associated with possession, age, needs and feelings.
These verbs are central to the Spanish language, being widely used, and students often face problems when trying to distinguish between them. A deeper understanding of these grammatical elements can expand the student's ability to express themselves correctly in everyday and professional situations.
Contextualization
Studying a new language goes beyond just mastering vocabulary and pronunciation. It is essential to understand the subtleties of grammar and the correct application of verb tense, as they have a direct impact on the meaning one intends to communicate. For those who set out to learn the Spanish language, understanding the difference between the verbs ser, estar and tener becomes essential, given the frequency of their use in the language, as well as the variety of contexts in which they can be applied.
These verbs are essential tools for describing situations, feelings, professions, locations, needs and much more. Therefore, mastering them covers everything from simple everyday conversations to formal and professional situations, and in the latter, making a significant difference. Hence, the importance of discussing them here.
