Verbs: Introduction to Simple Present

Medium

(Originais Teachy 2024) - Question Medium of English

Imagine you have a diary where you like to write about what you do every day. In this diary, you use many verbs to tell your activities. Write a short story of a typical day in your life, using only the Simple Present of the English verbs you have learned. Remember to include at least five different verbs in your story. Tip: Verbs in the Simple Present, for most people, do not change, meaning they have the same form for 'I', 'you', 'he/she', 'we', 'you', 'they'. However, for 'he', 'she', and 'it', you need to add an 's' to the verb. If in doubt, check your book or ask for help to translate the verbs you want to use!

Sometimes in English, we want to say that something is not true or that we don't have something. For example, if I have a pencil and I want to say that I don't have an eraser, I can use a negative form. Look at this sentence: 'I have an apple.' If I don't have an apple, I can change the sentence to the negative form like this: 'I don't have an apple.' Now, imagine you have a dog and you want to say that it's not small. How would you write this in English, using the negative form? Write a complete sentence explaining that your dog is not small. Remember to use the word 'not' in your sentence.
