When we look at our city, we find many places with different names, such as squares, streets, and schools. Often, these names tell a little bit about the history of the place, important people, or things that happened there. Thinking about this, choose a place in your city, tell its name, and explain why you think it received that name, what it can tell us about the history of the place and the people who lived or visited that location. Remember to look at signs, monuments, and ask older people, who usually know these stories well.
