Until the 19th century, for example, the urban center was the place where many workers lived, but over the years, this space has been transformed. The center became occupied by commercial and service buildings, while residential neighborhoods grew on the city limits. Culture and leisure also evolved, with the creation of new spaces such as parks, cinemas, and theaters. Considering these transformations, how do you think the daily life of children living in the city center 100 years ago would be different from the daily life of children living in residential neighborhoods today? Think about work forms, leisure options, and urban space organization.

O cotidiano das crianças que habitavam o centro da cidade em comparação com as crianças dos bairros residenciais atuais era semelhante, pois ambas as realidades enfatizavam o trabalho pesado desde cedo e limitavam as oportunidades de lazer e estudo.

As crianças do centro da cidade há 100 anos provavelmente tinham acesso a uma grande variedade de opções de lazer, como parques e clubes sociais, e passavam a maior parte do tempo com atividades recreativas.
