Long ago, people did not always live in the same place. They moved in search of food and water, and this is called nomadism. But gradually, some people began to discover that they could plant and raise animals in the same location, and thus stay longer in one place, forming the first settled communities. Describe what nomads are and why nomadism was important for the first communities of people. Then, explain why some people decided to stop being nomads and form settled communities. Remember to relate the relationships between people and nature in your explanation.
