During the period of Ancient Egypt, social organization and economy were sustained by the dichotomy between nomadic and sedentary populations, as well as the opposition between urban and rural life. Based on your understanding of Ancient Egypt's history, (1) discuss the ambiguities and interactions between nomadic and sedentary groups and (2) explain how these differences and similarities between these populations relate to the dichotomies of civilized/barbarians and culture/nature, present in the perception of Egyptian society at that time. (3) Furthermore, reflect on how such dichotomies can be questioned or reinterpreted in light of modern historical analysis.
