Music is a cultural manifestation that, besides expressing emotions and ideas, reflects the historical, social, and political context of its time. In the Middle Ages, for example, Gregorian chant was the main musical form of the Catholic Church, serving not only to praise God but also to reinforce the religious authority of the time. This musical style, characterized by its monophonic melody and absence of regular rhythm, illustrates the close relationship between music and society. In the 20th century, the emergence of jazz in the United States, brought by African-American communities, was an important milestone in the construction of American cultural identity, challenging social and political norms of racial segregation. Thus, each musical style can be analyzed as an integral part of a broader cultural system. Considering the interdisciplinarity between the History of Music and the Social Sciences, and bearing in mind the relationship between music and society, analyze how the emergence of rock'n'roll in the 1950s impacted the social dynamics of the youth of that time, taking into account historical and sociocultural elements of the period.
