After the end of the Cold War, the world experienced a new geopolitical dynamic, marked by the emergence of economic blocs and strategic alliances that reconfigured international relations. At the same time, advances in communication and transportation technologies accelerated the interconnection between societies, promoting what became known as globalization. In this context, historian Eric Hobsbawm states: 'The new status of economic autonomy granted to many areas of the world and radical technological transformations did not mean the 'end of history' by any means, but rather the beginning of a new chapter in which nations and peoples would have to rethink themselves in the face of an unprecedented interdependence.' Based on this perspective, answer the following questions: (1) How does the formation of economic blocs and strategic alliances reflect the phenomenon of globalization and what are the main examples of this process? (2) In what way does the 'unprecedented interdependence' mentioned by Hobsbawm challenge and reorganize the political and social traditions of nations in the post-Cold War world?
