This will help them focus on their learning activities and understand the importance of mastering interrogative pronouns in Spanish, both in their application and in identification in various contexts.

Introduction

Duration: (10 - 15 minutes)

The purpose of this stage of the lesson plan is to warm up students to the topic, encouraging active participation and the use of technology to explore the content. This warm-up helps students connect with the topic in a practical and current way, preparing them to deepen their knowledge through subsequent activities.

Warming Up

To start the lesson on interrogative pronouns in Spanish, briefly discuss the importance of these pronouns in everyday communication and how they help formulate effective and clear questions. Then, ask students to use their cell phones to find and share an interesting or curious fact about interrogative pronouns. They can research how these pronouns are used in different cultural contexts or how they vary in other languages.

Activity 1 -  Social Media Detectives 

> Duration: (60 - 70 minutes)

- Objective: Identify interrogative pronouns in real contexts and understand how they are used in digital communication.

- Description: In this activity, students will become digital detectives, investigating conversations on social media to identify interrogative pronouns in Spanish. They will use their research skills to find real examples and create a detailed report on their findings.

- Instructions:

  • Divide students into groups of up to 5 people.

  • Each group should choose a popular social media platform (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, Facebook).

  • Using their cell phones or computers, students should research conversations, comments, or posts that use interrogative pronouns in Spanish.

  • Students should note and capture examples (screenshots, links) of at least 10 questions that contain interrogative pronouns.

  • Then, each group must prepare a detailed report using a digital tool (e.g., Google Docs or PowerPoint), explaining the context of each question found and highlighting the interrogative pronouns used.

  • Groups must prepare a quick presentation (5 - 7 minutes) to share their findings with the class.

Activity 2 -  Virtual Talk Show 

- Objective: Practice formulating questions using interrogative pronouns and develop communication and video editing skills.

- Description: Students will organize a virtual talk show, where they will act as interviewers and interviewees. They will use interrogative pronouns to formulate relevant questions about current and interesting topics, simulating an interview program.

- Instructions:

  • Divide students into groups of up to 5 people.

  • Each group must choose a current topic that is interesting to most (e.g., climate change, technology, pop culture).

  • Students should script a talk show, creating characters, question and answer scripts using interrogative pronouns in Spanish.

  • Using their cell phones or computers, students can record the interview via video call tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) or video recording apps.

  • Students should edit the recording, adding titles, transitions, and, if desired, special effects to make the video more dynamic.

  • Each group presents their talk show to the class or submits the video to be watched.

Activity 3 -  Interactive Quiz: Pronoun Adventure ️

> Duration: (60 - 70 minutes)

- Objective: Reinforce knowledge about interrogative pronouns in a playful and interactive way, promoting collaboration and healthy competition.

- Description: Students will participate in an interactive and gamified quiz in a digital environment, where they can answer questions and solve challenges, applying their knowledge of interrogative pronouns.

- Instructions:

  • Divide students into groups of up to 5 people.

  • Use an online quiz platform (e.g., Kahoot!, Quizizz) to create an interactive quiz about interrogative pronouns in Spanish.

  • Students must access the quiz using their cell phones or computers.
